After heavy rains the valley northeastern Badakhshan province on Friday morning came a vast landslide that destroyed about 300 homes. The disaster occurred in the town Hobo-Barik. Afghan officials said they killed more than 2 thousands people. However, this information was later disproved. At the moment, the number of victims of the elements is about 300 people. The authorities expect the death toll exceeds 500 people.
